Course “Procurement and Management” – Participant of the XVI Cohort-Irakli Katcharava

  • 26 Jan 2026

1) What motivated you to take the Procurement Management course at ISI?
My main motivation was to update my professional knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of effective procurement management. During my work, I realized that having structured knowledge and systematic methods in procurement significantly increases efficiency, so I decided to make this course part of my professional development.

2) What were your expectations before the course, and did reality meet them?
I expected the course to focus on practical and applicable knowledge. The course offered even more than I anticipated — not only practical tools but also strategic insights that allow me to manage procurement processes more accurately and effectively.

3) Which topics or sessions stood out the most for you, and why?
The sessions that stood out the most were those related to COGS analysis and supplier negotiation strategies. These topics are highly relevant to daily operations, as defining top priorities and conducting accurate analysis directly impact real business results.

4) How has your perspective on procurement management changed after the course?
After the course, my approach became more strategic — it is no longer just about “buying efficiently,” but about optimizing the entire process, controlling costs, and managing supplier relationships as equally important priorities. I now work in a more organized way and evaluate results systematically.

5) In your opinion, what distinguishes ISI?
ISI stands out for its strong practical focus and high-level trainers who emphasize real-world experience. Additionally, the course program is comprehensive, combining both theory and hands-on assignments, which allows participants to apply knowledge immediately.

6) Who would you recommend this course to, and why?
I would highly recommend this course to professionals working in procurement, logistics, or supplier relationship management. It significantly enhances professional competence, strengthens strategic thinking, and provides practical tools for everyday work.
